Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. If you arrive early, you are welcome to park your car and wander around Cooperstown. If you will be arriving after 10:00 PM or in the early, early morning hours, please let us know so we can worry about you.
When you arrive, please use the free, off-street, parking area behind the building and enter through the front door that faces Chestnut Street. You may park in the driveway to unload your bags, but please don’t leave your car parked there in the event other guests are coming or going.
Should you have any questions or need assistance in some unavoidable circumstance that our small staff is not present, please call cell number 240-549-4333.
Check-out is at 11:00 am.
If you need to cancel or reduce the duration of your reservation, please do so 15 days prior to check-in. Deposits are returned less a $25.00 service fee. If you cancel or reduce your stay less than two weeks prior to your reservation, you will be responsible for the cost of the reservation minus any nights that we are able to fill during your confirmed reservation.
We require a 50% deposit that will be automatically be deducted upon booking. The balance is due upon departure. There is an 8% New York State Sales Tax and a 4% Otsego County Bed Tax which is in addition to our room rates. Payments can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards. Upon departure, cash, travelers’ checks or personal/corporate checks can be accepted as well.
We can only accept children above the age of ten.
The Cooperstown Bed and Breakfast is open for as much of the year as we have interest from guests. We normally require a two-night minimum stay on weekends and that is programmed into our website and reservation system. We can make exceptions, so be sure to check with us if you can only stay one weekend night. Children five years and older are welcome but we currently do not have the facilities to accommodate infants.
Smoking is not permitted inside the inn. Guests may smoke on the porches or in the back yard where there are chairs, and tables with ash trays.
We provide a personalized menu upon your arrival and after breakfast for the following day(s). A made-to-order breakfast is served to our guests each morning between 8:00 and 10:00 AM in our dining room. For those that need to eat earlier (Dreams Park or business travelers), we can offer a simple meal of scrambled eggs, toast, cold cereal, yogurt, jams, fresh fruit and coffee or tea at 7:30 AM but our daily menu is unavailable before our breakfast hours..
In order to keep the peace with the neighborhood and be respectful of other guests, we ask that any porch or yard gatherings be turned down to a quiet conversational level after 10:30 pm. You’re welcome to hang out in the front parlor any time you like as well.
Pets are not permitted. Please contact us if you have a service dog.
