Bocca Osteria in Cooperstown NY

We had dinner at Bocca Osteria, and it’s one of those places that just feels right from the moment you walk in.

The chicken riggies immediately stood out. Samantha grew up in Rome, NY, and it’s not a dish she takes lightly. This version felt familiar in the best way.

We also ordered the Funghi Formaggi, layered with mushrooms, smoked gouda, and parmigiano. It was rich and deeply savory, with a garlicky depth that never felt heavy.

The veggie pizza was excellent, and it’s clear the kitchen puts real thought into how dishes come together.

Dietary options:
  • Gluten-free pizza crust available
  • Gluten-free pasta options
  • Vegetarian-friendly dishes including pizza and small plates

Even the small details are thoughtful. Each table has a different set of salt and pepper shakers. Ours looked like pasta, while others around the room were completely different.

The space is elegant but relaxed, and the outdoor fire pits will be especially nice as the evenings warm up.

If you’re planning a Cooperstown trip, this is a place worth adding to your list.
